Updated Training Information

Some news in the Zone.

There will be an area engine drill on March 2 at Pinal Air Park. Check in will be between 0800 - 0900. Lots of activities to do during the day. Run hose lay, build hose packs, other types of engine activities. Will count as the yearly refresher for those who attend. If you want more information, feel free to call me at 520-202-2704 or Jim Stout at 480-296-1566.

Still have an S-212 saw class, S-260 fire business mgmt, Basic fire class in Oracle, S-215 urban interface and the yearly refreshers. See updated calendar. Call if you have any questions or need help with class information.

Please verify that I have received any nominations that have been sent. That will ensure you get in the class. Fire season will be here before you know it with an opportunity to put into practice all that you have learned.

Training Updates

We have several classes that we need students for or the class will be cancelled.

S-290 Dec 5th in Rincon Valley. Nomination deadline is Nov 11.

M-410 - We still have slots available for the Nov 14 class.

L-280 - Nov 5-6 in Casa Grande

If you are interested in any of these, contact me right away and we'll get you in the classes.

Updated Calendar

Here is the updated calendar with new dates for some of the courses. I am continually working with the Lead Instructors to get dates for the classes so keep checking back if the course your looking for isn't posted.

I am also working to include the courses in a calendar format so it's easier to see how they are within any given month.

2011-2012 Training Season Planning Meeting August 10, 2011

The training season is just around the corner and you know how it is - we are either fighting fires or training ourselves on how to fight them. With that, our annual training meeting is scheduled for August 10, 2011 at the Tucson Interagency Fire Center, 2646 E Commerce Center Place, Tucson, AZ 85706. We will be having a BBQ lunch that starts at 1100 and the meeting will begin at 1200. The lunch will consist of hamburgers, salads, beans and potato chips. All this for $5.00. Everyone is invited. Please come and help us start off the new season.
